Are you ready for some football?

I love my kids so much! Natalia is a true Steelers fan and Alexander is quickly learning how to be one. These picture are for the kids' Auntie Jenna, the BIGGEST Steelers fan. We love ya JW!

Our little cheer leader

So we have recently taken on the Saturday tradition of spending our days at the football field. Our very good friends' boys play on youth football teams. Last year they were on the same team, this year they are on two separate times so we are spending a lot of time at football games.
Natalia has become quiet the little cheerleader. She LOVES to watch the girls cheering and has been learning to do the cheers with them! She is so funny and so cute. I am have the feeling her father is not going to be happy when she gets to high school.

Despite being sick

Although she was sick all day yesterday, Natalia was more than happy when she saw Auntie Chelsea and Uncle Brett walk through the door. Natalia loves Chelsea, but doesn't get to see her all that often. She immediately wanted to show Chelsea everthing she could in the house, like Chelsea had never been here before. Anyhow it was a fun evening for our little girl. Alexander of course liked being loved on too!

Alexander is ONE month and Nat's such a little teenager :)

Yesterday was Alexander's one month birthday. As everyone who knows me knows, my kids get a little mini photo shoot on the month marks. Here are some of those photos.

Natalia and Alexander both went in for check ups this last week. Out little girl is becoming such a kid. She is now 27lbs and taller than most of her friends. She is such a big help with her brother, when she is not being a two year old. At the dr she helped Dr. Fisher-wright check her brothers, ears, nose and mouth. It was the most exciting thing for her that day. She thought she was hot stuff. She amazes John and I daily with the things she is learning and with the attitude she is getting. She truly is a WOOD DUNCAN, she has the "best" from both families. :)

Alexander is growing much fast than I ever thought he would. He was exactly 8lbs on Thursday and is 22 inches long now. He is eating all the time, which is not so much fun for me, but we make it work. He is such a joy in all of our lives. I am not sure if he is Nat's yet, but we'll get there.

Hanging with Daddy

Alexander and daddy decided to have some time together while Natalia was taking her nap. We try to spend time with one child while the other is sleeping so they still get one on one time. Anyhow, you know me, I had to whip out the camera. I am sure glad I did. John got some cute smiles out of him. I can't believe he has been here almost a month already!

Monkey loves the monkey

The nurses brought this toy in and put it on Alexanders crib, he just loved it!

Alexander is home!

Alexander got to come home yesterday. All of the test came back negative. Thank Goodness! They think he just got a little virus from Natalia. As the nurses would say, "you're second child always gets the germs because you have an older one bringing them home." Either way we are so glad to have him home and want to thank everyone for their prayers that our little man would be ok.

If you ever have to take your child to the hospital, I must say I am glad we took him to St. V. Everyone has their opinion on that hospital, people either love it or hate it. While it is no fun to have your child sick, the staff in the pediatrics center at St.V. are absolutely wonderful. I don't think we could have gotten better nurses to take care of Alexander, answer our questions, and help in the middle of the night. In the pictures I last posted was a nurse, her name is Dana. She was out night nurse and she was so awesome. She did everything she could to try and help me get Alexander to relax so I could get some sleep too.

Anyhow, we are more than thankful to all the people who helped us not only with Alexander but with Natalia too. We are so lucky to have people who love our children like we do and who take the worry out of it all. Thank you again for your help!

Alexanders first trip to the ER

As most of you know our little Monkey Man had to go the the ER on Tuesday night with a fever. As I type this we are sitting in the pediatrics center at St. Vincent. And we are being helped by the best nurses in the hospital!

We came into the ER with a 100.7 temp, which apparently in an infant his age is bad. They automatically run every test known to man. Since babies under one month are so fragile they want to make sure they are not missing a single thing. They do blood, urine, snot, spinal tap, and chest x-rays. At 9am tomorrow morning we will know whats going on.

He was getting better yesterday but then had a really bad night last night and a rough morning. After not sleeping at all last night he woke up this morning throwing up, with a fever and an IV that decided it did not want to work anymore. The nurse had to restart a new IV. The new IV didn't take in his hand so they had to move it to his arm. Then he was doing better this afternoon, unfortunately he got a fever again. The fever is going down right now, so lets hope it goes away all together.

So basically we have been playing the waiting game while they pump him with IV fluids and antibiotics.

Here are some pictures of his trip.

settling in

so its been two weeks since we brought Alexander home and things are starting to get to a normal state. Alexander is still so tiny so nothing fits him. We were going to take him in to get his pictures done, but all his cute outfits are way too big. Today I took some pictures of him and played with the black n white/color accent feature on my camera. Also, no one believes how big his feet are so I had to get pics of those too! I hope you find these as wonderful as we do.
